GBI oversaw the replacement of over 500 windows at University Hospital of London Health Sciences Centre over a 5-year schedule. Work could only take place on weekends during mild weather, and in many areas, patients had to be temporarily moved while windows were replaced. GBI worked closely with LHSC’s Facilities Management team, the architect, the contractor, and nursing staff to ensure minimal disruptions to staff and patients.

The new windows are more energy efficient and seals are upgraded to ensure protection against future severe weather events.
